Dear experts,
Whenever we would like to implement the eDocument basic solution, SAP states that the customer is responsible for the XML mapping.
However, is it still possible to use the existing AIF mapping engine and make use of the existing mapping tables? Or do we need to purchase a separate license for this?

Request clarification before answering.
No, you cannot. Any attempt would also be a circumvention of SAP licenses. Usually not a good decision.

Clear, thanks all!
Hi Leander,
when customers use any basic solution they forfeit any SAP support for that scenario. It is a "do it yourself at your own risk" approach.
Best regards,
Martin

Correct. And please note that 'basic solution' is available only for selected scenarios, it can't be used for any country.

Hi Leander - AIF is a licensed solution and requires the license for customer-defined mappings. Please contact your account executive for more info.
Thank you
Erika
