Dear SAP Community,

What are the configuration differences between SAP Datasphere (integrated into SAP BDC) and SAP Datasphere when used as a standalone version?

Thank you,

Hello @quocdt5 ,

The main difference is that standalone SAP Datasphere is used as an independent service for data integration, modeling, warehousing, federation, and virtualization, while SAP Datasphere integrated into SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC) includes the same core capabilities plus additional BDC features. When Datasphere is part of SAP BDC, it also comes with SAP-managed content, automated data integration, One Domain Model (ODM), SAP BW integration, Databricks/AI capabilities, and a more unified SaaS experience, which reduces some of the manual setup compared to the standalone version. So, in short, the base Datasphere configuration remains largely similar, but the BDC-integrated version provides extra prebuilt services, governance, and integration options. [learning.sap.com], [crescenseinc.com]
