SAP Data Intelligence -- Rules and validations

Hi All,

In SAP DI, we do have the concepts of rules, self service and validations. Does it come with inbuilt functionalities or predefined rules for SAP specific scenarios?

e.g. If a vendor is getting created, can it automatically check if it is a duplicate or we have to define all those

Another example would be do we have predefined rules to check if a vendor has never been used in the system and was just created.

The question really is -- does the tool have advanced rules predefined to support the business with insights or they have to be created from scratch and is the data profiling limited to blanks or checks like country name checks for acronyms.

DI does support you validate the data by creating and running rules created by you. I am not sure if "rules predefined" is a valid problem. In that sense, do you have "predefined data", especially the data format? The rule itself has to fit to your own business. So, yes you can 'predefine' rules, but it would be for your business only.
