SAP Cloud integration with Salesforce

Hi,

I've to integrate SAP cloud with Salesforce (I'm a salesforce administrator). I would understand pros and cons of these two types of integrations:

-- SAP PI/PO Process Integration/Process Orchestration an ESB that is tailored to handle most integration based on messages. This is what most integration developers know to use.

-- SAP Cloud Platform (SCP) Integration/HCI is the cloud integration platform that contains pre delivered content and a flexible message flow.

Can someone help me in this choice?

Thanks in advantage

Hi,

I think CPI is way better for your use case. Reasons are:

1- CPI is better at integrating to other cloud-based systems.

2- CPI has lower cost of ownership. You pay less money to get started and you don't have to maintain your setup.

SAP will provide security and feature updates for you.

3- I saw this blog which mentions an salesforce adapter for CPI.

4- (Personal opinion) CPI is way more intuitive and modern. Much easier to get started with.

Unless you have a PI/PO already or you have other on-premise systems you want to integrate, CPI is the better choice for your use case.
