SAP Cloud Integration - Questions

Hi Experts,

Our client has requested us to answer the following questions before even implementing the interface... Could you please help us to get the answers for the following questions? Should we Implement Pipeline concept to acheive some of the functionalities?

We have two interfaces (i) Synchronous Inbound Interface and (ii) Asynchronous Inbound Interface that should be implemented on SAP Integration Suite (Cloud Integration)….

Asynch : Sender ---> SAP Integration Suite(Cloud Integration) --> SAP S4/HANA

Synch : Sender <---> SAP Integration Suite(API Management + Cloud Integration) <--> SAP S4/HANA

1. Endpoint and communication details

2. XML Validation : Must the XML be validated against the XSD on the sender side?

3. Character encoding and special characters : How are special characters handled?

4. Error catalogue

(i) Technical Errors (ii) Business Errors (iii) Security errors

5. Retry handling : Is automatic retry performed?

6. Error feedback to the Sender : (i) What information does the sender receive? Are error codes available?
(ii) Are standardized error messages available? (iii) In which language are errors returned?

7. Monitoring and consistency controls : How is it detected that data is no longer being sent or received?
How are erroneous messages detected?

8. Alerting : Which events trigger an alert in CALM? Who receives alerts?

9. Logging, storage and audit Trail : Is every incoming message stored? Is every outgoing message stored? Are changes logged?

10.Authentication and encryption : How does the sender authenticate? Are technical users used? Are certificates used? How is message integrity ensured? Are messages digitally signed? Are transmissions encrypted?
