SAP Cloud Integration: Possible to use script collection for custom function in message mapping?

Within one of my iFlows I created a custom function within a message mapping in order to do some formatting. Since I want to use the same function also in another iFlow, I was wondering if it is possible to reference it with some script collection. I created the script collection, put the groovy script in it, deployed it and referenced it within my iFlow . However, I don't see any option to use this within the message mapping (e.g. via "Assign"). The only option I have is to create a new function.

Can you tell me if there is some way to reuse a custom function for different iFlows instead of creating it for each?

I can't believe this has not been flagged as must-have-feature during solution design. The DRY principle has been around for more than two decades...
