SAP Cloud Connector

Hello everyone,

I'm trying to connect the Cloud Connector to an SAP Hybris OData APIs, but I can't.

I'm creating a "cloud to on-premise" connection and I've tried to connect to my Hybris instance using all backend types using different protocols, but only by using "TCP" that it was "reachable". However, from API Management in SCP, I can't connect to it. By using other tools to consume those APIs (SoapUI / LinqPad) it works.

Do you know how to fix it and where to check if Cloud Connector really can reach the SAP Instance?

After creating a Cloud To On-Premise connection in SAP Cloud Connector you can Check availability of internal host:

However, I am not certain about your scenario, since The Cloud Connector serves as a link between SAP Cloud Platform applications and on-premise systems.

Is the API actually available on an on-premise system? I don't really know Hybris, but I would assume that the API is in the cloud? If that is the case, you don't need Cloud Connector.

To connect from SAP Cloud Platform to an on-premise OData API, you would use the HTTP (or HTTPS) protocol in Cloud Connector. Use the availability check, as pointed out by Frank, to determine whether the backend system is reachable from the Cloud Connector host.

Generally speaking, the backend system must be visible over the network from the Cloud Connector host.
