Hello Experts ,

We are using BOXI 3.1 in our project.

Our Business users need to schedule the WEBI reports (not through BO scheduler but through some 3rd party vendor like OBPM or some other tool).

I have got to know that this is possible using BO SDKs.

As i am new to this SDK ,hence have no idea how to use this feature.

Can anyone please help me on how to start with SDKs?

I myself have searched alot on lots of forums but could not got any relevant information till now...

Any documents ,Vedios will be really helpful for me - thank you in advance!

Regards,

Saurav

Hello!

I'm interested in legality of all development by BO SDK.

Another words is SAP supports free development through their API?

Or we must buy some licences for development?

The SDK comes as part of the BI Platform.  You will not need a license to develop, but you will need the user licenses to run  and connect your application to the platform's content and services.

Hi Saurav,

Yes, it is possible to write a code using BO SDK to schedule a report and integrate this code into third party application.

As suggested by Mallik you can go through the above link and documents.

As there are different types of SDKs are given such as Enterprise SDKs,Viewer SDKs etc,you can start looking into Enterprise SDKs. Enterpirse SDKs allow you to logon to BO Enterprise System for creating objects, viewing ,scheduling and exporting reports.

Would suggest you to go through the link below where you can find JAVA and .NET SDKs along with samples.

http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-27446

Hope this helps.

Thanks,

Swati

Hi Swati, Thanks for the reply. I have gone through the link provided by you. But I found no document to start up with. There are lots of html pages clubbed in as a zip file as Quick reference guide. Is there no precise document which are easy to start for a beginner? Thanks, Saurav
