Hi,

We are using Analysis office 2.2 SP3. We have upgraded to SAP GUI 7.4 and NWBC 5.0. As NWBC uses common folder and seeks the landscape XMl files from there and Analysis office also uses the common folder and seeks Xml files from there. since we have differnet XMl files for NWBC and Analysis office. We are having conflicts in connection to data sources in Analysis office. Could you please suggest if we can change the default location for Analysis office using command line parameters.

Thanks,

Annie

Hi ALL,

Just wanted to know if we can change the default location of Analysis office as NWBC also uses the same folder:

%APPDATA%\SAP\Common

Thanks,

Annie

HI tammy,

Thanks for your reply.

Just to add on :

SAP tools use Common directory path for configuration files ; since the folder contains NWBC specific parameters, AFO is unable to read the same and results in error.

This method of execution to maintain a common folder for access of all SAP GUI related system configuration is a feature of GUI 740 and NWBC 5.

The requirement is to maintain a different configuration of systems available to login in NWBC , this is a very specific requirement and this can be performed by placing the required XML files in the "Common" folder.

The AFO cannot read the configuration as its not same as GUI and hence Analysis office does not work.

Both AFO and NWBC are using the same folder as its defined in registry key for SAP GUI 740.
Even if we change the location the same will be used by BO analysis office tool due to registry key.

Thanks,

Annie

We use NWBC and Analysis Office but I don't experience the same issues
