Hello colleagues abapers,
I have a question regarding prerequisites for ABAP in Eclipse. When I try to connect to development server I get error:
Logon to system DEV failed (System "DEV" does not support Eclipse based ABAP Development Tools).
Here is the screenshot of my system version:
Do I need complete installation of SAP NetWeaver AS ABAP 7.03 (or above) or I can apply only some patch or something like that and if can what and where can I find it?
In the end, what will be the best option for me to enable ABAP for Eclipse?
Thank you.
Vladimir

Hi Valdimir,
AiE works only with an SAP NW equal or greater 7.31 SP4. Please note:
Kind regards
Dirk

Ok but I'm still confused about the versions. Here:
http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/downloads?rid=/library/uuid/30a6dbb2-a774-2e10-ee83-9f6432973545
it says:
SAP NetWeaver AS ABAP 7.03 SP04 64-bit Trial |
Including: Web Dynpro ABAP, ready for ABAP in Eclipse |
Is that just ABAP component? If it is can I upgrade just that component in the development server?
Hi Vladimir,
NW7.03 and NW7.31 are means the same, because SAP had befor two different code lines they are now merged,Take a look at this blog:
