SAP application server installation with already built Oracle database

Hi Experts,

Oracle 19 database is already built and source backup restored on top of it.

Now to build SAP application server ASCS and PAS instances

* still to run DB instance in SWPM? or can be skipped?

Please let me know your thoughts..

what method can be effectively used in Homogenous system copy for built database?

Hi Daniel,

1. Is the SAP SID the same or different on the SAP target system?

2. I am not confident about the Oracle database. You can perform the system copy, SAP Standard export, and import method, and also refer to the SAP homogeneous system copy guide.
