SAP Analytics Cloud - Formula Error

I'm trying to create a simple calculated dimension using a substring, but I receive the message:

"Formula could not be computed: Choose a property for dimension "COMPONENT" in function "SUBSTRING". Try rewriting the formula."

What am I missing here?

Rene is right.

Below is the descriptive answer for the issue. After Dimension put a dot and then ctrl+space. You will get a intellicense select from that (ID or Desc) issue will be resolved.

SUBSTRING([d/"ZCV":_CPB_ZE8YY1].[p/_CPB_ZE8YY1],5 ,2 )

Hi

In your fomula - after the dimension you need to select either id or decription

try and add a "." after and the press ctrl + space
