SAP Analytics Cloud - data source is not accessible

Hello,

we already have a connection between SAC and our S/4HANA system. We are currently trying to use the SAP Analytics Cloud Content. In the case of SAP Finance - Live based on Semantic Tags, the error occurs that the data source is not accessible. (The model is SAP__FI_GEN_LS_FINSTMTKPI).

Do you have any idea how to solve this issue? Unfortunately, we have not found anything in this regard so far.

Hello nsienerth93,

SAC content comes with connection object. You need to change the details for individual connection and point them to your S4 tenant. In case you are using content that connect to S4 live, you need to make sure all configuration are in place in S4 side.
Live Data Connection to SAP S/4HANA

• Your SAP S/4HANA system supports Info Access Service (InA)
• You have info access user setup on your SAP S/4HANA system to allow all users who will use the live connection.

For testing, create a connection followed by a dummy story first.

Hello,

we already have a working live connection. With other models we get data via the same live connection. Only with the above model comes an error message.

There could be multiple reason, so check couple of things first-

1. Check if the connection is working : Create a sample story on connection "S/4HANA Finance On Premise(SAPFIN)". This will tell us if there is any issue with this specific connection or not?
2. Check and confirm if your S4 On Prem version is 1808 or higher?
3. Can you access view 2CCFIFINSTMTKPI, C_FinancialStatementKPI & I_ActualPlanLineItemSemTag on S4 side?
4. Check if you have plan category data in S4 side. If you have planning configured, please use the plan category else use ACT01?

thanks for your answer.

For some models it works and for some not, even though they come from the same S/4HANA connection.

Do we need to activate anything in the source system (S/4HANA) for this model to work?

Hello Nick,

Some content works as they may be on sample dataset. If story is using live connection then you will see this error message. You need to configure S4 side first . Steps mentioned in my original post (above).
