SAP Analytics Cloud : Comment for Cross calculation

Hi ,

Is there an update about commenting in cells in a table which using calculated measures or cross calculations. Or maybe a workaround.

Indeed, in order to explain delta between Budget Vs. Actuals, I created a Cross Calculation (to avoid Version dimension to be selected) of two Restricted measures based on combinations of Version & Time Input controls. Then I created two calculated measures for FTE' (=EPT) and Amount' (=Montant) deltas (in absolute value & percentage).

I would like to give the possibility to users to comment cells with data point comment, but seems impossible for now.

Thanks in advance,

As far as I know, one possible workaround is to use a new model and create calculated measure from model, data point commenting is supported in this case.

thanks William, but is there a way to create calculated measure in the model in order to calculate delta between versions?

Because for the moment, except if you are using cross calculations (but after you cannot use data point comment), you have to select version dimension in table (not the case in a chart btw) or choose only one members in filters.

With this, you cannot display deltas…

Thanks in advance,

For version variance, You would need Restricted measure ( with constant selection) for the 2 versions you need the delta on and finally a calculated measure to get the variance between 2 restricted measures.

I know how to create restricted measure (with constant selection) in a story, but how do you do in a planning model? Because you have to create the calculated measure for the variance in the model in order to use data point commenting otherwise it's not working...

Thanks,

@etienne1110, did you somehow manage to find some workaround for this?
