SAP BusinessObjects Dashboards has also a range of examples and templates included in the software itself! You can find both in the FILE menu.

As far as I know you can only link WebI to the Dashboard tool, not Crystal Reports.  Your BEx query should be used as the datasource for the WebI report.  The data can then be summarized for the dashboard in WebI or just use WebI to pass the data to an Excel spreadsheet that the Dashboard can use.  I am using SP5 but I believe in higher versions of BO you will be able to load the BEx query as the datasource directly into the Dashboard and bypass WebI altogether.

There are several tutorial in the SCN to build

WebI reports - http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-7819?refer=main

Dashboards - http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-7946

Hope this helps.

Hi Marlene

I wanna clarify and say that Dashboard can also link to Crystal Reports, using LiveOffice connection.

See the option under LiveOffice menu, and you should see Crystal Reports as well.

I am looking for documentation to bypass Liveoffice, and connect Dashboard directly to BEx query, as suggested by SAP as the new features for Dashboards 4.0

Anyone can point to such documentations?
