We are testing the ability for SAP Analytics Cloud to write data to SAP Datasphere. We have encountered an error when trying to do this.

Step 1 - Created an OAuth client in SAC

Step 2 - Configured Datasphere with connection details, OAuth 2.0 authentication, Grant Type of Client Credentials, provided OAuth Token Endpoint, OAuth Response Type = token, OAuth Token Request Content Type: URL encoded.

Step 3 - Provided Client ID and Secret

Step 4 - Entered Name and Description

Step 5 - Received Connection Created Successfully message. Connection is listed under Datasphere Connections screen.

Step 6 - Click Validate the Connection. ERROR - Connection couldn't be established: Data flows can't be used because of errors in the connection; Replication flows are not supported; Remote tables are disabled. Data Flows: Cause: [CloudDataIntegration] Cannot connect to service because Failed to fetch OAuth2 token. Token endpoint response HTTP/1.1 401 Unauthorized["error": "invalid_client","error_description":"Unauthorized grant type]
