“I need to create a dynamic calculation defined as B/W A i.e. (Selection V1 − Selection V3). My dataset contains two versions: Actual and Forecast, Selection V1 & Selection V3 both are Restricted Measures with version input controls. Selection V1 should always reference Forecast data for 2026, and Selection V3 should always reference Actual data for 2025. How can i achieve this
is logic so that it consistently pulls from the correct version and time period?”

Since you have created Selection V1 & Selection V3 both as Restricted Measures with version input controls, restrict the date as in these restricted measure to be current and previous year using dynamic date restriction. Finally use a calculated measure for variance. Keep constant selection on in restricted measure and remove version from column axis of your table.
Hope this helps !

Create restricted measures for Selection V1 and Selection V3 with restrictions on appropriate versions and for date use dynamic restrictions of current and previous. Keep the constant selection checked. Finally create a calculated measure for variance. Bring all these measures in column axis of the table and remove version.
