Hello,
Recently I created a Geo Map in SAC. For this I created a Dimension which is associated to my dataset in Datasphere on 5 levels (Country, Region, State, City, Postal-Code). This association adds the special hana.ST-POINT field which is the geo point used for the Geo Map
Now for a certain example I see weird behavior. When drilling down in SAC to the from Country to Sub-Region 2 (=City), I see no problem. But then when drilling down on the City of Sint-Niklaas in Belgium (Postal code 9100,9110 & 9120) the following happens:
(Same happens for bubble as well as chloropleth and all types of visualizations)
When I look in my dimension I see that Postal code 9100 also has a location in Italy. It seems that SAC only looks at that level and takes one of the geo points from the association where postal code = 9100 and uses that:
It seems that SAC does not look at all the fields in the association to determine the correct geo point. And so I would assume this issue will happen again for other equal postal codes? The measure that is used does however show the correct number, but put on the wrong location.
My association in datasphere:
Anyone had a similar issue in the past? Looking forward for solutions/ thoughts. 🤔
Kind Regards,
Thibault
