SAC - dynamic filter for date

Hi,

Is it possible in SAP Analytics Cloud to set a dynamic filter for date - Reporting Period so that the story always opens for the last Reporting Period that the logged in user has selected for the story?

Hello iwonasmartcon,

SAC let you set dynamic filters on date field. You can select standard presets (current, previous, both etc) and dynamic offsets as well. You can add the date field in chars/ table and then click on date filter. Although in your case you should be better off using Date filter> range> dynamic offset (2nd image)

Thank you for your response.

I use the standard functionality but I am concerned with something else.

I open an existing story and refresh the data for 2022 (let's say it's the budget for next year).I open the same story later and want it to open in 2022. I will refresh and this time the story but for 2021 this . Tomorrow I open the same story and it opens for 2021 - the last refreshed date.

The question is whether this can be handled in SAC at all.

only way to achieve this by saving your current filter. This is unfortunate not achievable, unless user re-save the story. Other way I can think of is using bookmarks, then again user have to overwrite default book mark again later.
