Runtime Engine

Is the runtime engine still offered with SQL Anywhere? We purchased a runtime license for SQLA 9, and we distribute it with a small windows exe, but I can't tell if the runtime engine license is available anymore.

If it's not available, what alternatives exist, both in the context of SQLA and other solutions?

That seems a somewhat hidden information - confine the comments below that older answer on a RTENG11 question, particularly that quote:

[...]AFAIK the runtime engine is no longer available for SQL Anywhere version 12.

Further evidence might be that v11 describes the "IsRuntime" server property as following:

IsRuntimeServer: Returns Yes if connected to the limited desktop runtime database server, and No otherwise.

where v12 and up tell:

IsRuntimeServer: Returns No for all versions of the database server.

The Runtime Engine is no longer offered with the SQL Anywhere product, and hasn't been for some time.

As @pmiller indicated, there is a program for OEM Partners to include portions of the product with their application. There is a cost to this. If you are interested, contact SAP Sales, and inquire about the OEM program.

I don't know if i get your question right... a "runtime"-license is still available for OEM-Partner or Resellers to Deploy the database with own part of software.
