Hi

I have a costomer that is running Lenel Onguard 7.6 (Access control software) and it is running SAP Crystal Reports runtime engine for .NET Framework (32-bit) v. 13.0.16.1954 on the server.

Now I have Crystal Repoerts 2025 but I can not run the reports on the server probably because I have a version that is to new. My question is what version of Crystal Reports runns on the runtime v. 13.0.16.1954

And do I need a new license for the older version of Crystal Reports

Moving up from CR 2016 to CR 2020 also changed me from a 32bit environment to a 64bit.

I had been using the Oracle client in 32bit, but now had to configure the Oracle Client 64bit version instead. [the database didn't change]

It is possible that you could change the runtime over to a 64 bit version, or setup a connection to the 64bit version instead of the 32bit version.

Otherwise, CR 2016 may be the answer you are looking for.

CR 2025 is 64 bit, All other versions are 32 bit only so they can't use a 64 bit Client. Not sure why you had to use 64 bit client with CR 2020 which is 32 bit????

SP 16 is VERY old. Is it possible to upgrade to the latest SP 37 for your application?

You can get it the current release from here:

https://help.sap.com/docs/SUPPORT_CONTENT/crystalreports/3354091173.html

FYI - the version of the RPT file does not matter, CR has an import routine that will auto-convert the RPT file to the current version spec's.

I suspect it could be something in that old runtime version may not be able to detect the newer format of the RPT file. When I worked at SAP, Retired now, there were updates done to the RPT files to add additional info, but I have never heard of any issues with version.

Is it possible to send me a link to download one of the reports so I can test it? If does have issues I can let R&D know and they can have a look at it.

Note also the platform support for CR for VS .NET runtime will require updates to be supported on newer versions of Windows. See this link for current platform support:
