Request clarification before answering.
What do you want to "replicate"?

Hello,
you can start here
http://maxdb.sap.com/doc/7_6/72/7ed43fb9490c65e10000000a114b1d/content.htm
and
http://maxdb.sap.com/doc/7_6/42/105f593fa3742ee10000000a114cbd/content.htm
and
http://maxdb.sap.com/doc/7_6/67/73f34026d70b06e10000000a155106/frameset.htm
With the installation there comes an example document. (sdb\programs\app\syncman\example\doc)

yes for a SAP system, can a database notify an external program because i can't use a program that connect all time to the database to check if there are any changes(it's not a good idea )
thanks

Hello,
the MaxDB Synchronization Manager can use a MySQL database for unidirectional replication. Changes in the MaxDB can be replicated to a MySQL database but not the other way. I have to admit that this feature is not heavily tested.
Just I would like to know. Why don't you exclusively use MaxDB as a database? If so you could use the Loader or the Synchronization Manager for replication.

Wolfgang

and can a database notify an external program if there are any changes.
