Regarding TADIR table entry

we are unable to find any objects with object type HIER in TADIR table even though we have hierachies in our system?

How do we create an entry with obj type HIER in TADIR table

we are currently using  bw3.5

hi Sudhir,

u dont transport the hierarchy itself. Either u create it manually or load it from a source.

that is why u dont find hierarchy in tadir table. U will find the hierarchy info object, its data source and transfer rules (if they exist)

There are many types of hierarchies like:

R3TR DHIE BW Hierarchy (SAP Delivery)
R3TR DSAA DataSource Application Component Hierarchy (Active Version)
R3TR HIER BW Hierarchies

You have to identify exact hierarchy you are looking for. While selecting object type use F4 for possible hier. values.

By using T code - SE03--> folder - Object direct entry --> Chnage object directry entries--> on next pop click on Create object direct entry(white patch) here you can maintain required object direct entry and save it.

From your screen remove the ZTEST, just enter R3TR and HIER, continue.
