Hi,
Is the front end freshly installed, some times all the services are not available as such you will have some icons in disable mode.
Follow this document, <b>https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/994a06ed-0c01-0010-878b-e796a9060209</b> to solve such kind of issues.
Cheers.
Ranga.

Sridhar,
Please give us the WAD version you are using and also is your Java Stack / Portal component(s) available for you to execute the Template if you are talking about a BI7.0 template ?

Sridhar,
It might be a front end issue - suggest you reinstall the front end - what is your current SP Level on the front end.
Also in the meanwhile you can do this :
Execute any query on the web and take the URL and you will find something like CMD=LDOC&infocube=<>&query=<> change it in the end to to :
CMD=LDOC&template_id=<your template technical name> and then execute it - it should work in the browser.
