Real time data into dashboard

Hi All,

I have a requirement to develop a dashboard ( with real time data),

1. In SAP BI, process chain runs, at the end of the business hours and the data comes to the Infocube from the R/3(ECC) system. So when the user opens up the reports next day morning, the users will be able to see the data until the previous day(current date - 1). Hope am i right? Correct me if i am not.

2. We have developed few dashboards but the users wants to have real time data in the dashboard, which means, the moment it is available in the ECC it must come to my BI query and from my BI query i will take the data to my dashboard. So here i need to implement the "virtual provider based on real time DTP", if i use it will i be able to get the desired result.

Please update me, its very important.

HI,

Dashboard will pull the data what ever you have in cube.

So check with BW consultant and ask him to create process chain the way you want.

Yes , you can achive it by creating virtual cube based on real time DTP, make sure that datasource you are using have Direct access option.

Then you can use dashboard connectivity : SAP BW connectivity or web service
