Dear all,

I was creating a source system in BW, but when I chose "use the connection" it prompted an error "Source system already exists". I checked and tested RFC connection to source system in BW and RFC connection to BW system in source system. They all worked fine. Someone please help me with this problem. Points will be given. Thanks.

I found the reason. The problem is that basis guys forget to relate the logical name to the client in SCC4.

Sorry to forget mention that in source system list I couldn't find the source system which I created. I also checked the table RSLOGSYSDEST and still didn't see the source system.

Hi Jin,

It seems that your source system was created before and there was an error when deleting it or something similar.

If you want to create it again, you'll need to delete the inconsistences.

You can start by deleting rfc connections in SM59, and partner profiles in WE20. You need to do this both in ERP and BW.

Then try to create it again.

Hope this helps.

Hi Jin Ming,

The error means that the source system you are trying to create already exists in BW.

Are you trying to connect to a different client from a system that you already have?

Please provide more information about what you are trying to do in order to be able to help you.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Diego
