Hi,
I created a query with a variable for quantity conversion.
The user should be able to freely select different units of measures for a key figure.
When executing the query he has to select a unit which works (as long target unit is stored in the bw).
The Query shows the correct unit:
But now I have the following problem:
The user wants to switch to another target unit.
So in Bex or analysis you can re-entry the variable but this has no effect on the results (unit of key figure) in the query.
But the first selected unit does not change:
Is there something more to do that the query reloads and takes the new select value of the variable?
Or is there anything we should select within the variable definition that this will work?

Steffen
Request clarification before answering.
Hi Steffen,
Try changing the behaviour of the variable in BEX Designer as 'Refresh Dynamically'.

Hi Umashankar,
Where can the mentioned "refresh dynamically" be changed?
I cannot find this Option in BeX query designer....
When using the good old Bex Analyzer the variable can be changed after the initial selection.
There we have no problem.
Unfortunately this does not work when executing the query in bex web or SBOP Analysis for Office.
And what we really need is a change during runtime in Design Studio.
I do not understand the different behaviour of these tools.

Hi,
It means there is no issue with BEx analyzer, but in WEBI and SBOP analysis office has issue?
Then need to wait for other experts in WEBI and Analysis Office can answer this query.
Below is the properties, which I was referring in previous reply. It works well with BEx Analyzer, not sure with WEBI and SBOP.
Thanks,
Umashankar
Hi Umashankar,
in Query Designer I have "refresh dynamically" selected.
And yes: There is no Problem with Bex Analyzer for Office.
Here it works.
But nor when executing the query with Analyzer for OLAP, SBOP Analysis oder SBOP Design Studio.
I thought this is a query Problem, but it seems that not the query but the Tools are the Problem..
Maybe someone else has the same Problem?
Regards
Steffen
