Hi All,

We are facing a problem in Business Explorer.

We have a query assigned to a particular role. The technical name of the query is not being displayed.Only the Description of the query is being displayed. When we try to open the query in BEx, we are getting an error that the Query does not exist.

Can anyone tell me what the exact problem is?

Also i would like to know how a query is assigned to a role?

In your case the query would have been assigned thru PFCG, when you assign a query thru PFCG the technical name of the query will not be displayed and you will not be able to access the query from the query designer selecting from the role. Alertnativelu you can assign a aq query to the role from query designer directly by clicking on the assign to the role icon in the open dialog for Bex.

Thanks.

Hi Deepu, Thanks for the reply. I have one more question.

How is a Query assigned to a Role from the Tcode PFCG?

Thanks,

Change Mode in PFCG --> Ener Role Name --> from the menu tab select others and select SAP BW QUERY URL.

The URL should be in the format given below:

<bsp_protcl>://<bsp_server>/sap/bw/BEx?cmd=ldoc&INFOCUBE=<cube>&QUERY=<query>

for displaying the technical name there is a button in the bex that turns it on (but you have to click it every time). It's the one that has the symbol of a wrench on it (second icon from the left)

Hi Ravi,

As per your requirements there are 2 options like

1) Log Off and Login Again

or else

2) You Can Redesign it Again.. There is no other Option.

Thanks
