Hello experts,

My team and I are trying to create a job on IPS to replicate users from an LDAP server to an ABAP BTP Environment.

We were able to configure the user replication from IAS to the ABAP BTP Environment following the steps provided in this tutorial, however, now we want to use our own user store with an LDAP server to provide users to our ABAP Cloud instance.

The LDAP server stands behind the firewall so we configured a virtual host using a Cloud Connector to expose it to our source system configuration within the Cloud Identity Services. The configuration was established and the Cloud Connector configuration shows the status "reachable", but every time we try to run the sync job on IPS we get the following error:

org.quartz.JobExecutionException: Cannot execute provisioning job in tenant context: <our tenant>
Caused by: com.sap.cloud.ips.connector.exception.ProvisioningRuntimeException: Error during execution on behalf of tenant with ID: <our tenant>
Caused by: com.sap.cloud.ips.platform.cc.connectivity.configuration.MissingConnectivityConfigurationException: OnPremiseConnectivityConfiguration is not found

Do any of you know the steps that need to be performed in order to fix this issue and properly replicate those users?

I appreciate any inputs that might be provided!

Hi Nicholas,

did you follow the documentation on how to connect the SAP IPS to on premise systems?

There is also an SCN entry describing the process.

You can also check this note, which is about connecting to an on premise SAP S/4 HANA system, but the general process and troubleshooting should be the same.

Best Regards,

Thomas
