Please tell me how to set darkness value on Zebra printer? Could it be done via SPAD?

Look in your printer/ZPL documentation for commands ~SD or ^MD.
Start with 1173046 - Printer Vendor Wizard Note: Zebra, 750772 - Information about the ZPL-II printer driver for Smart Forms and 179534 - Label printing using Zebra printers (SAPscript). You could also look at solution provided in KBA 1783039 - Print reversed text colour in Smartform on Zebra printer (white text on black background).
