- What is the compatibility of PowerDesigner's client with Linux and Mac operational system?
- Is PowerDesigner Web an alternative for PowerDesigner Data Architect? Can I design data models through PowerDesigner Web or just visualized them?
Request clarification before answering.
PowerDesigner only runs on Windows, not Linux or Mac OS.
PowerDesigner Web is a portal that provides read-only (and some update) access to the content of the PowerDesigner repository. If I create a data model and check it in to the repository, it';s accessible via the web portal, subject to individual permissions. With the right licence you can create and edit process and architecture models via the portal. I think you can also work on Requirements models, not sure.
More capabilities will be available through the web portal later this year.
