PostgreSQL trigger in a CAP project

Greetings, community experts.

I am working on a SAP CAP application with the PostgreSQL database.

I need to create a database trigger, but this is the first time I have worked with PostgreSQL in a CAP project. Until now, I had worked with HANA, and I placed the logic of my trigger in a .hdbtrigger file in the /db/src directory of my project.

In the case of PostgreSQL, how would this be done?

Is there a specific reason you want to use a trigger and not use the service handlers which accomplish the same?
