PostgreSQL connection failed.

I'm trying to connect my application to PostgreSQL service instance but the connection is failing with this issue :

SEVERE: Connection error: org.postgresql.util.PSQLException: FATAL: no pg_hba.conf entry for host "*.*.*.*.*", user "***********", database "**********", SSL off

Encountering a similar issue while following:

Looks like binding the postgres instance to an application does not automatically add the necessary entries in pg_hba.conf
