Parallel landscape using the separate client

Dear Experts,

we are planning to setup and parallel landscape for project line. usually companies use separate system for parallel project line.

can we use new client in same development system for project purpose.  below in the diagram is the approach I am thinking of.

due to budget constrain we can not have more systems. 

what are the risks of cross client object conflicts.  we are on S/4 hana 2023 private cloud edition (RISE).

are there other risks and limitation also?

Hi,

this approach is alright if you do not have to adjust any enhancements or custom developments, since these are always cross-client. If your project affects only customizing or the enhancements are properly switchable by client-specific customizing, you'll be fine.

However, as you mentioned, a separate project system would be more desirable.
