Overwrite Protected Views/Variants

We have created views/variants in our source system and have transported them to other system. Now our source system is down due to upgrade so all our changes would be implemented on a different dev system. Upon checking in AdaptUI, our views are protected and we cannot edit nor delete them. Is there a way to overwrite this so that we can edit/delete our views while our source system is still down?

Hi Klaus,

The 2nd sap note help. I was actually checking this one out before I posted this question but got stuck. Revisited the note again and now I can edit the variant.
