Oracle Database or Software for SAP???

Hi,

Experts can you help me on this this.Oracle installation for SAP we run sapserver.cmd, and during installation SAP creates the database in its own way.Are we using just the oracle software to build SAP.??? Is SAP building its own database using oracle software .Or are we using actual Oracle database?????

Hi!

When you install an SAP system you need a database, in this case ORACLE to store SAP ABAP code, Data dictionary, information, etc... Of course sapserver.cmd only install ORACLE database server software, SAP will use this software to create the database with it's own structure and naming convention.
