Dear SAP,
We have a security compliance alignment with auditors where we need to demonstrate that our SAP landscape running on Oracle is encrypted.
Please help us to find out if the SAP systems running on Oracle database are encrypted or not.
Please guide us how we can find this and confirm to auditors that data resides in Oracle DB are encrypted.
Request clarification before answering.
Hi,
At SAP we support Data Encryption only as it is documented in below SAP notes:
2591575 - Using Oracle Transparent Data Encryption (TDE) with SAP NetWeaver
1279682 - Support for Oracle data encryption in BR*Tools
973450 - Oracle Database network encryption and data integrity
105047 - Support for Oracle functions in the SAP environment
In case Oracle TDE is being used, you can use BR*Tools argument "listts" (brspace -u / -f mdencr -a listts) as mentioned in SAP note ##1279682.
Any other encryption is not supported by us and so we can not help you further with that.
