Hi,

We want to move all GOS attachments in SAP ECC to a separate SAP content server. What is the difference between setting up our own content server VS using OpenText ArchiveLink?

For example, we want to attach documents to purchase requisitions via both SAP ECC GUI and via Fiori app. Is there any added advantage of using OpenText Archive link VS GOS pointing to SAP content server for this purpose?

Thanks,

Renu

Hi, well there are two major differences:

1/ SAP Content Server is free of charge, OpenText is not

2/ OpenText is a full Document/Content Management System, SAP Content Server is not

Now an alternative is to use SharePoint O365 or on premise as storage for your attachments, this is also a real full Document/Content Management System, and with "cheap" connectors such as YAC (provided by Znk) this is very low cost solution with many functionalities
