Multiple Spool Request in VL02N

Dear all!.

When issuing a Delivery Note in VL02N, a multiple and exponential spool request is being generated.

For instance, if a delivery note consist of 6 material numbers, SAP creates 6 spool jobs with all labels inside each….

We have good and bad news about this.

The good news is that we have found the root cause of it.

When you are linking the output type to the items of the Delivery note and click on SAVE, the following FM is invoked on PERFORM BELEG_NACHRICHTEN_V2 in FV50XF0B_BELEG_NACHRICHTEN_V2

Then, IN UPDATE TASK, the following FM WFMC_MESSAGE_SINGLE is triggered on FORM RV_MESSAGE_UPDATE of program LVMSGU02. Inside this FM our printing program is called and the forms are printed. When it’s being printed for the first time, the sy-subrc value is 4.

Once it’s been printed, the value is changed to 8.

A possible solution for this is to check that SY-SUBRC EQ 8 is not happening.

The bad news is that there has been a change – or something like this – on the coding. Sounds like a SAP Note - 358121 was applied here.

What can I do?. I just don’t know. From my perspective, the ideal situation might be to – somehow – undo code stated in this note.

But I’m not really sure if it would be possible.

On the other hand, another ‘not-that-clean’ solution might be to create an Enhancement at the beginning ONLY FOR OUR SPECIFIC OUTPUT TYPE. But, honestly, I think this is NOT A GOOD PRACTISE at all.

Will continue asking Dr. Google and researching….

But, anyway, any suggestion would be highly and deeply appreciated. J
