Multiple BW systems for a single source system

Hi,

We are planning on performing a homogenous system copy of our BW system , to a new hardware etc,,. We are also planning on running both BW system in parallel, ie loading from the same source system. This might involve duplicating the extractors in the source system and re configuring the transfear rules in the new BW system.

I am not sure if this would work, is it possible to have 2 BW system with the same source system? Would the delta loads be affected?

Any idea’s documentation would be much appreciated

Hi Fahed,

Welcome to SDN !!!

I think we can have 2BW systems to a source system but the logical system name shouldn't be similar.

You are only allowed to change the logical system name if the system is not connected to other systems, as changing the name would render the connections to all connecting systems useless.

it should work, as you can see in delta queue (RSA7) in sap source system (r/3, crm, srm ...), there is 'bw system'.
