I'm going to venture to ask what might be a dumb question, but maybe someone can give me some guidance. We've developed a platform that automatically analyzes legacy c-code and displays it in a way that makes it very easy for our clients to modernize their proprietary code (they can use whatever development platform they want to do that). Once they've modernized their code then our platform can automatically parallelize the code to optimize how it runs in a multi-core environment.
The question is this. Switching to SAP makes a lot of sense to customers upgrading their IT, but how do the proprietary applications the customer wants to keep interface with SAP, and more importantly, can their proprietary apps run on your cloud, or must they run on AWS, Azure? l presume the later, of course, but I want to be sure. And does SAP help them with the modernization of such proprietary apps, or do you refer them to an SI to do that work?
Request clarification before answering.
Hi,
If i understand the question correctly, you are looking for options in terms of legacy applications & whether SAP supports those in any way.
For any legacy/proprietary/In-house Non-SAP applications, one option is to move the functionality from legacy to SAP. There are so many customers who target to reduce the legacy footprint & move the functionality to SAP.
If you want to continue with legacy application then you need to take help of SI who would have the capability to support various skillsets.
Thanks,
Prashant
