Hi,

I am new to SAP and I am working my way through this lesson using the free access:
https://learning.sap.com/learning-journeys/developing-with-sap-integration-suite/explaining-distribu...

When following the lesson at on Page 1 Task 2: Log in to the SAP Integration Suite, its states to click "Design" in the menu, but the only option I have in the menu is "Home".

I contacts the SAP E-Learning Support and they said to contact BTP support, which did not work which a general support said, would not with a P ID, who also recommended the Community forums.

Expected:

Actual:

Can anyone please assist or provide direct link to support which can?
Thank you.
Andrew

Hi AndrewKelly - The left menu is not missing from the Integration Suite, it has hidden behind the developer roles.

Go to BTP cockpit -> Under Security Roles -> Assign Integration Developer (PI Admin, and all related PI roles) to your user id.

After assigning the roles -> Close the browser -> clear the cache -> log-in again

Refer: SAP BTP Trial Account Creation and Enabling Integr... - SAP Community -> Point number 19 and 20

Thank you for the response. I'll try this when I next find time to do the lesson.

Update: Resolved.
I already had Integration_Provisioner because at the time could not find Integration_Developer I have now added anything starting PI_* and this seems to resolve my problem. The lesson does not cover this, which ideally it should, and the referenced blog page, has Integration_Provisioner at Step 17 which is all I looked at initially. I see at Step 28 there is a low resolution image which shows the other 4 PI roles needed. The perfect storm for confusing me. :D. Hopefully this is added into the lesson. Ideally one doesn't need to leave a lesson to complete that lesson. I shall now continue!

I also needed to add  PIManagement.Selfservice.Administrator for the Configure menu item needed later in the lesson.
In the end I just added everything!
