Do you have any other version of CR installed on this computer?

Is VS 2005 or VS 2008 on this computer?

Search for craxddrt.dll on the whole drive (root down). How many do you find and what are their versions?

Got me stumped - I'll have to ask for ideas...

Can you see the fonts in some other non CR control?

Hello,

I've never heard of this before either.

Only thing I can see causing this is permissions, try right clicking the start-up link for VS and selecting Run as Administrator.

Possibly some app or font package has modified the Font location references or could be your printer driver is limiting the font available.

Try changing your default printer to a standard printer like an HP 8000 Laser Jet printer. If you don't have one installed try adding it and default to LPT1.

Oh and what is your default printer? I'll see if I can replicate the issue.

hi

you where right, when i changed the default the to something other then the generic text printer that i have installed for testing purposes everything seems to work fine then.

its really weird how that could have an affect the font on vs for cr.

thank you

Hello,

I've seen this before, Printers have embedded fonts for it's use only so it locks out all other system fonts.

But yes it is odd that CR is limited. I've never heard of this before either.... You never said what print driver you were using?

Thanks again

Hi Don

My default printer at the time when i  had this issues was Epson TM88IV receipt printer that i use for testing, but i was using the Microsoft Generic/Text Only driver for it. When i set my default printer to be the nearest canon printer in my department witch is Canon IR3035.
