Hi all,
I need to merge two ebI documents (BO XI R2) with the SDK. I need to add the tabs included in one at the end of the other one. Both WebI reports have the same query but probably, variables created in both of them are different. Do you know if:
1) It is possible?
2) Is there any sample code (or sample code were I can see how to manage tabs in reports and variables?)
Many thanks!!!
Bea
Request clarification before answering.
Unfortunately, this is not (easily) doable with the existing API. What you'll need to do is reconstruct your query from scratch.
You'll need to:
a) rebuild query of interest - being mindful of whether it's a combined query
b) rebuild query of interest's condition container(s)
c) restore its prompts behaviour
You MIGHT be able to create a new report (DocumentInstance.createReport(...)) and possibly, once created, copy a report from another report instance into the new report instances reportContainer ...
I'd be interested in hearing others' opinions of the best way to go about this as well. Let us know how you make out.

Atul,
Thanks for your quick answer. What I was doing is first search if it's possible to access to tab info (container) through the SDK. I was searching in the object model, but still have not found anything.
I wanted to do the following (although I'm starting to think that it's impossible):
- Open Doc 1
- Open Doc 2
- For Each tab of Doc 1
- Copy tab(a)
- Add tab(b) in Doc 2
- Copy tab(a) container in tab(b)
Can you tell me if it's possible to copy info from a tab (accessing to tab properties in through the object model) or if there is no option to achieve this with current SDK (Release 2)...
Thanks again!
Bea
