Hi
If merging different modules datasources e.g. MM, FI, PS fulfill business required reports then which option is best practice?
1)Merge all modules datasources e.g. MM, FI, PS to Std. DSO and then to one custom InfoCube.
2)Create every datasource std. flow and then create a custom Multiprovider on it.
Waiting for reply.
Thanks

Hi Imran,
2)Create every datasource std. flow and then create a custom Multiprovider on it.this would be best approach, as you can make use of standard /custom reports of each module if you maintain an individual flow.
later you can use these flows in a multi provider /infoset as per your requirement to create a new combination report.

Don't think loading performance should be a big topic in this choice: in both scenario you will have 7 PSA's & 7 DSO's, the difference is that for 1) you do 7 loads from the DSO to 1 cube, while in 2) you do 7 loads from the DSO's to 7 cubes. Still 7 loads though...
Anyway, this is a very general question, and there is no one good answer, it all depends on the requirements
Hi,
if you want to create a single target with multiple data sources, that's fine.. but you initially mentioned about modules ..
ex : you can't just use 2lis_03_bx, bf and um individually along with 0fi_GL_10 to update in single target .. as 0ic_c03 have compression with and without market update to get the stock correctly.
you have to take a call as per you requirement.
