Match Transformation

Hi All,
I have built the Data Services job using a base match transformation to identify the duplicate values. The base match is built is using the custom function. What I noticed the matching field in the match transformation is set to 255 char length. I get the error that length is set to 255. Can this length be change? If yes, where?
