Hi Basha,
LUW is basically " logical unit of work ".
These are used in DeltaQ (RSA7), outboundQ( SMQ1), ExtractionQ(LBWQ), UpdateQ(SM13).
First The documents posted in updateQ(SM13) is in terms of LUW.
& Then those doucments will goto ExtractionQ(LBWQ) in terms of LUW's only .
and finally the LUW's are posted to DeltaQ (RSA7) thru outboundQ( SMQ1).
conculsion: LUW's are serves as data packets for the document postings.
i hope its helpful answer. expecting yours in terms of pnts.
Regards,
Neelima.

RSA7 - Delta Queue relevant
An LUW from the point of view of the delta queue can be an individual document, a group of documents from a collective run or a whole data packet from an application extractor.
