Linked Analysis doesnt work when filtering

Hello,

in my following use-case I got two widgets inside of a story/page. The first one displays the backlog over days with a line chart (measure: backlog; dimension: day). The second widget displays a table with more specific information about the backlogs. Both have the same datasource (live query).

When applying linked analysis on the first widget the second widget doesn't apply when the filters are made in the first chart. For example a user wants to see the backlog for 03.07.2022 and is filtering the datapoint in the line chart than based on that selection the filters should be applied to the table - but that doesn't work.

Do you have any sugesstions?

Hi Korab,

Have you solved the issue since then?

I have a similar case and it works when filtering in Chart 1.

Hi Korab,

Please check if you also selected "Filter on Data Point Selection" when you enable linked analysis.

Korab,

It will be helpful if you share configuration of your Linked analysis settings. As the settings control which widgets will be updated its important to go thorugh them.

In addition to my notes above, I didn't set up any filters in the table/widget. So based on the linked analysis the table/widget should recieve or append the filters/selection of the first chart.

Could it be that the linked analysis is not working on BW 7.4?
