Layout not showing values

Hi Experts

I have created quite a few reports and never had this problem. I dont know if its a coincidense but for some reason, lately when working on or creating layouts, it will be working and viewing perfectly. I will attach the layout into the clients environment with no problems. Then when i make some sort of random change like replacing a field on the layout, saving it and importin git into SAP, it stops showing any values whatsoever. So it will show all the text fields but none of the database fields.

I have tried creating a nerw connection. I have tried verifying the database (verifies perfectly).

Then when i create a new blank report and recreate the report - exact same pc(working directly on the server), same tables, same linking, same fields, etc. it works perfectly for a while.

it seems to lose the fileds when i go into the database expert.

Do you know why the report would simply stop displaying any fields?

sometimes it stops displaying anything if i preview the report within crystal but when i save it in SAP it works. But this time is isnt showing values in SAP nor Crystal.

My apologies - the problem was that when i added a table in the database expert, it automatically messed around with my linking which kept on throwing the report out.

thanks for your time.

Crystal report version on clients server and my personal PC is 12.1.3.1028.

the OS on client server is windows server 2007 and my OS on my personal PC is windows 7 professional.

the layout was working 100%. the only thing i did was open the reports(on the server), add the OCPR table, linked the table to the OINV table through cntctcode. it then removes all fields

even when i remove the link and the field from the report (back to how the layout was), it doesn't work.

if i create a new report with the exact same data (tables, linking, fields, placing, etc), it works. but then after saving the layout in SAP and if i make a change to the database expert in future, it will lose the values again...

I don't believe you are using Standalone CR and likely the OEM build that is shipped with B1 or other Classic SAP products.

CR 2008 did not support Windows 7 until Service Pack 2. Check with your account manager to see if you can get it an apply the patch.

Test again

Hello,

What version of CR are you using?

What OS are you on and publishing to?

Thanks
