Join validation error converting universe from Oracle to SQL Server

We are in the process of converting our databases and universes from Oracle to SQL Server as required by a vendor.  When I try to validate some of the joins in IDT, I get an arithmetic overflow error that appears to be caused by the validation query using a count(*) instead of a count_big(*).  Is there any workaround or setting I can use to get around this error?
